El otro yo refers to one of my Dad's favorite comic strips by Guillermo Divito called El Otro Yo Del Doctor Merengue. You can read more here http://www.historieteca.com.ar/Historietas/drmerengue.htm
Literally it means "the other me". The comic strip character had two personalities
